Benefits of Using a Professional Photographer
There are so many viewpoints and opinions out there about how it works and what do you get when you use a professional photographer. To help answer this, I want to share some thoughts from my perspective as a professional photographer.
First and foremost, I want my clients to feel great about their experience working with me and to be really excited about their finished portraits. It brings me great satisfaction when a client orders a finished wall portrait or wall grouping, or album or folio box because I know that they will now have finished, tangible printed products that they can really enjoy for the rest of their lives. Yes, it is fun to share images on social media such Facebook and Instagram, but those are fleeting and later it can be a challenge to find those again. And I've had so many friends search on their cell phones for an image, among 1000s of images stored on their phone. Sometimes they find it, but not always, and then often those photos are lost or even if stored in the cloud, when do they access those? And I must say, I have never had any friends pull out a thumb drive to show me digital images they purchased.
Let's get back to the lifetime of enjoyment thought. As a professional photographer, I believe it is so very important for my clients to be able to easily look at their professional portraits. These may be displayed in a single portrait or a wall grouping in their family room or office that they can sit back and enjoy staring at it as it brings back fond memories from that day or from that time in their life. Or they may prefer to preserve a larger number of images from their session in an Heirloom album or custom folio box where they have 10, 15, 20 matted images that they can choose to display or frame any one of these or just enjoy going through their folio box. There is so much planning and preparation for both of us that goes into a photography session, and when you choose to invest in professional photography, you want it to be showcased in your home and enjoyed.
Photography captures a moment in time that will never exist again. As our children grow, we think we will remember specific moments, but there is so much noise going on in the world, that we really don't remember. What we really remember is what we have seen in photographs and it is those photographs that bring us back to that moment in time, and that is what brings us that enjoyment - for a lifetime!
I would love to help create a lifetime of enjoyment for you and your family. Contact me so we can schedule a time to capture your family's special moment!
