On the Cover of a CD!

I was recently asked to photograph an aspiring gospel singer, whose stage name is Joyous Lola!  She is cutting her first CD and she needs headshots for the CD cover.  Yes, I dated myself by saying "album" cover, but that's actually how she referred to it when she contacted me.   She brought along a make up artist, Ashley, of Beauty by Ashley O.  You guys have no idea what goes into a formal makeup session, but the end result was outstanding!  We had a fun evening taking a variety of images and I've only included a small number here.  Randy even located a microphone for her to use as a prop and while it took her a little while to get comfortable in front of the camera, let me tell you, when she got that microphone in front of her, she relaxed and got into the moment! 

I'm excited to see which final images she selects and ultimately which ones her CD producer will select.  In the meantime, I thought I'd post a few from our session.  And by the way, the 1st image is pre-makeup so you can see the transformation - she is stunning!  Great job AshleyO - give her a call 469-321-5805 or contact her at BBAOinfo@gmail.com.
