Celebrating Birthdays
As I was trimming our shrubs this week, cleaning up damage after the late winter snow storm, I was reminded of the year, a few decades ago, when I was 9 months pregnant with Greg and I got that burst of energy that is fairly common late in a pregnancy. I decided to give all the shrubs in our front flower bed a major trim.
That accomplished two things: 1) the shrubs got a much needed shearing, and 2) a few days later I went into labor resulting in a 7 lb 7 oz baby boy - Gregory.
Well fast forward a few years, a few birthdays, and a few gray hairs later, and Greg has obviously grown up. He is a master electrician/electrical contractor (Capote Electrical Services - in case you need some electrical work done), and he is engaged. He and Mariah are getting married this June (after having to postpone the wedding due to COVID last year). And although she has been a part of us for several years now, we are excited to officially and formally welcome Mariah into our family.
I've included below a few pics of Greg through the years, starting with his 1st car - his "Birthday Car," then a few other wheeled vehicles through the years, as well as him playing his classical guitar as a high school student at The Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, and finally Greg and Mariah!
So here's a mom's loving best wishes and a big Happy Birthday to my son, Greg, this April 2! Love you Gregor!
