There are your standard headshots, and then there are those that need that something extra special!  Such was the case recently when I was contacted to help Monte' Demars create some special images to be used on the book jacket for his first book that will be published in the very near future.  His book is titled "Just Be" and the theme of the book is about having the freedom to just be ourselves!   He wanted his cover image to express freedom as well as showcase the title of the book imprinted on his t-shirt.  What you can't tell from the photo is how cold the 40 degree temp felt that day with the wind dropping the wind chill into the 30's.  After working on location shots for the front cover to get the right expression, pose and background scenery, we were able to return to the studio and warm up to capture more formal images for the back of the book jacket.  He looks very engaging - just the kind of author you want to read! 

This was a fun experience and I'm excited to see the finished product as well as read his book.  I'll let you know when it comes out.
