Well, this is my first attempt at writing a blog. This is totally new for me and I'm really not sure how these begin, other than to, well, just begin.
If you've read my About page, then you'll know that my photography business is part time right now. During the day, I am the administrative manager for the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Pretty intense, huh! I have been in academic medicine my entire career. It is very rewarding (and challenging) working with medical professionals and knowing that by managing our personnel resources, our clinical operations, and the day-to-day happenings in our department, I am indirectly and even at times directly helping our patients - and that is always rewarding! But, as I mentioned, a few years back I discovered a real joy from photography and that has now become a passion. And that passion led me to bravely step out and officially start a photography business. What is important to know is that my role models have included some very intelligent, hard working physicians and surgeons who always want to provide the very best for their patients, and that hard work, integrity, and desire to provide great customer service are what I bring to my photography business.
